Happy (the Man) Independence Day

When an artist moves from a major label to an independent label, it's often seen as a comedown. In progressive rock band Happy the Man's case, it's cause for celebration. Happy the Man has fully recaptured the rights to their original Arista albums, Happy the Man (1977) and Crafty Hands (1978) from Sony Music and now own their recordings! They're just like Taylor Swift...with a whole lot more notes and time signature changes. Iconoclassic Records is thrilled to be Happy the Man's new handpicked partner for physical CD distribution. And these aren't any old CDs either: they're brand new definitive reissues remastered by Ray Staff at Air London.

Happy the Man and Crafty Hands are available as physical CDs from Iconoclassic Records and in digital formats from Invasion Group. The CDs feature extensive liner notes by Syd Schwartz in 28- and 32-page booklets, respectively. Both CDs are now available for purchase through the Iconoclassic Records store and wherever good music is sold, including independent progressive rock specialty shops like Wayside Music, The BandWagon USA, and Syn-Phonic Music. Support the indies!

Whether you've known and loved Happy the Man since the '70s or are learning about the band for the first time, you'll find that Happy the Man and Crafty Hands are essential additions to any serious progressive rock collection.
