The Snake Corps
Emerging from the post-punk band Sad Lovers & Giants, The Snake Corps formed in 1984 and quickly developed a sound that married dark, melodic atmospheres with sharp guitar lines and emotionally resonant vocals. With a style often compared to bands like The Chameleons, Echo & the Bunnymen, and early U2, they became a fixture in the underground indie rock scene across Europe. After releasing a string of critically acclaimed albums and touring extensively, the band disbanded in the mid-’90s. In 2010, due to renewed interest and cult status, The Snake Corps reformed, bringing their signature sound to a new generation of fans while continuing to resonate with longtime followers.
