A Non-Stop party from B.T. Express

Iconoclassic Records follows-up its 2022 Expanded Edition of disco funk band B.T. Express’s 1974 debut, Do It ('Til You're Satisfied), with the group's 1975 sophomore album, Non-Stop. The CD includes five bonus tracks.

The band’s second #1 R&B album following its monumental debut, Non-Stop spun off the double-sided Top 5 R&B hit single “Peace Pipe” and “Give It What You Got.” Featuring five tracks mixed by the legendary Tom MoultonNon-Stop leans more towards disco than B.T.’s first album yet remains funky to the core. Elsewhere, B.T. Express transforms Bacharach and David’s “Close To You” into an epic quiet storm male-female duet.

The band’s final album with its original lineup, Non-Stop for the first time features the full-length LP versions of all tracks on CD (all previous CDs included edits of several tracks). This definitive reissue also includes four 7” mixes/edits as bonus tracks, plus the CD debut of Mike Maurro’s 10-minute disco remix of “Peace Pipe,” all remastered by Donald Cleveland.

Presented in a jewel case, the 8-page full-color booklet, designed by Chris Eselgroth, includes the original LP's inner gatefold imagery as the center spread. A. Scott Galloway contributes a new liner notes essay, drawing upon fresh interviews with original B.T. Express members Rick Thompson and Bill Risbrook.
